Celebrating Black History Month with IC4E!
The face of intersex activism has often been portrayed as white, but this is far from the truth. As usual, black people have played an influential role in the fight for equality and human rights.
Some of you may not be aware that I’m the founding director of an intersex advocacy non-profit, The Intersex Campaign for Equality, a.k.a. IC4E (formerly OII-USA, the American branch of the Organisation Intersex International/OII). I am, and I’m so happy and honored to celebrate black intersex activists this month during Black History Month!
There are many highly influential, long-term, brilliant black #intersex activists in our community, & I'm happy & honored to celebrate their contributions. <3 Keep an eye out for more before month's end! https://t.co/S60VbZHe5G #BlackHistoryMonth #LGBTQIA pic.twitter.com/0odwzuUVGL
