This site shares my writing and my some of my work creating mainstream awareness about my intersex community.
Intersex
refers to being born with biological sex traits (gonads, genitalia, and/or choromosomes) that are a blend of male and female or are atypical for either. In the West we were known as hermaphrodites until the mid 1990’s, when “intersex” came into use, and some of us, including yours truly, call ourselves herms.
